Bellmore JFK 14, Calhoun 13: While leading by a run with two out in the top of the seventh inning, Derek Fong recovered a passed ball and tagged the runner out in front of home plate to end the game and win it for Bellmore JFK (8-2) in Nassau AA-III. Fong finished the day 1-for-4 with an RBI double. In the bottom of the sixth, Dylan Babek hit a sacrifice fly, Derek Yormack successfully pulled off a straight steal of home and Zack Mezrahi hit a two-out, two-strike, two-run single to make it 14-6. Aiden Miller struck out three over 3 1/3 innings to earn the win in relief. Overall for Bellmore JFK, Derek Yormack finished the day 1-for-1 with a home run, three intentional walks and four runs scored, while his brother, Ryan Yormack, went 1-for-3 with two runs. Vito Manning finished 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. Alex Demas went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs. Eli Lowenstein went 1-for-3 with two runs. Babek was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Aaron Zacharia went 1-for-1 and scored twice. Matt Tolipano went 2-for-3 with an RBI double. For Calhoun (3-5), Tim Lynch went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, three RBIs and a run, while Anthony Landolphi went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and three runs.
