HIGHLIGHTS
Farmingdale won it's third county championship and first since 1990 with a 7-3 win over Port Washington to complete a sweep in the best-of-three Nassau AAA Championship Game. Joe Tagliavia earned the win and had a key two-run double, Jordan Welch had a run-scoring triple and James Sebber put down a perfect suicide squeeze to score John Franco in the seventh inning to up the lead to 5-3. Farmingdale (19-7-1) is a county champion for the third time and first since 1990. It advances to meet the winner of Suffolk's Sunday title game between Commack and Sachem North in Saturday's 7 p.m. Long Island Class AAA championship game at Middle Country Athletic Complex. Max Spiryda had two RBI for Port Washington (15-11-2).
