Wantagh 4, Clarke 3: Christian Danzillo came out of the bullpen to get the final two outs with the bases loaded as No. 1 Wantagh held on to beat No. 1 Clarke in Game 1 of the Nassau Class A Championship Series at Farmingdale State. Jack Tate allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings and scored from first base on Paul Fontana's two-run single in the third inning for Wantagh (21-3-1). AJ Cumbo, Giancarlo Rengifo and Jaret Sarrantonio had RBI for Clarke (20-5). Game 2 is Sunday at 10 a.m. at Farmingdale State.
