Division 11, Long Beach 1: Matt Bolton sparked a 10-run fifth inning with a two-run double and finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored as No. 6 Division defeated No. 5 Long Beach in Game 2 of the Nassau Class AA semifinals. Isaiah Marino went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Cody Brush went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Christian Varela tossed a five-hitter and allowed one earned run. Long Beach finished 17-7-1. Division (19-5) advances to play the winner of Bellmore JFK/Carey in the Nassau Class AA final with Game 1 at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Farmingdale State College.
