Comsewogue vs Hauppauge

Hauppauge 5, Comsewogue 4: Michael Oliveto hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to send No. 1 Hauppauge past No. 7 Comsewogue and into the Suffolk Class AA championship. He went 1-2 with three walks. Tucker Brown and Matt Neglia had two hits each. Vincent Crafa, Christian Jenny and John Margolies combined to give up seven hits and three walks, with Margolies earning the win. Comsewogue tied the game with two outs and two strikes in the top of the seventh inning before taking the lead in the top of the eighth prior to Oliveto's home run. Carson McCaffrey struck out eight in six innings for Comsewogue. Hauppauge (19-3) will face the winner of No. 7 Comsewogue (14-9) and No. 4 West Islip on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Middle Country Athletic Complex.
