East Islip vs Hauppauge

Hauppauge 4, East Islip 2: Kevin Walker's RBI-double scored Cole Wood in the bottom of the sixth, giving No. 1 Hauppauge a lead it wouldn't relinquish on the way to defeating No. 5 East Islip in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Tucker Brown added an RBI-single with two outs extend the lead to two. Michael Oliveto hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first. John Margolies struck out the side in the top of the seventh to earn the save. Lucas Patton hit a two-RBI double to tie the game for East Islip in the top of the fourth. East Islip (14-6) will play the winner of No. 6 West Babylon and No. 2 Smithtown West. Hauppauge (18-3) will host the winner of No. 3 Centerreach and No. 7 Comsewogue. Both games will happen Sunday at 12 p.m.
