Bellmore JFK 6, Manhasset 3: Jack Finkelstein pitched a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out eight batters to earn the victory and lead No. 2 Bellmore JFK past No. 7 Manhasset in game two of the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Ryan Yormack went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, a steal of home and three runs scored. Derek Yormack finished 2-for-3 with an RBI double at the plate. Eli Lowenstein went 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Zach Adelstein reached base twice with a walk and a hit-by-pitch. Alex Demas picked up an RBI with a sacrifice fly. Manhassset had runners on second and third base with no outs in the third inning when Aaron Zacharia turned a double play from right field when he caught a fly ball and threw out the runner at home, courtesy of a nice tag by Derek Fong. Bellmore JFK (18-2-2) now advances to the AA semifinals and will face either No. 9 Carey or No. 5 Long Beach starting on Sunday at 11 a.m.
