Northport 4, Centereach 3: Dylan Sofarelli's RBI single capped a four-run sixth inning and gave Northport a 4-2 lead in its Suffolk III win. Max Brewer doubled to start the inning and scored on a single by Dean Roche. Cody Hammer and Wes Bilger each followed with singles to load the bases. Two straight walks plated Roche and Hammer to give Northport (2-1) a 3-2 lead. John Berkery threw three scoreless innings in relief to earn the win and Vinny Staub stranded the tying run on third in the seventh to earn his second save.
