Seaford vs Babylon

Trailing by three runs in the ninth, Babylon scored four times with the final run coming on Nicky Crone's bases loaded walk as the Panthers won the Long Island Class B baseball championship at St. Joseph's Alfano Field. Daniel Madsen pitched eight innings of three-run ball in a no decision and had a two-run single in the four-run rally to tie the score for Babylon (23-1). The Panther will face Section I champion Albertus Magnus on Saturday at Purchase College in the NYSPHSAA Southeast Regional final. Jason Berthel had run-scoring single and made a pair of scintillating defensive plays at third base for Seaford (22-2).
