HIGHLIGHTS
Johan Franco struck out seven over 4 2/3 innings and had a run-scoring single and Tyler Jones had two hits and a run scored but the Bears (17-5-1) fell in their first appearance in the New York State Association of Independent Schools championship game. Poly Prep (23-4) is the state's provate school champion for the eighth time in 10 years and 11th time overall.
