Longwood 7, Sachem East 2: Luciano Lorefice pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief for No. 3 Longwood to preserve the win over No. 2 Sachem East in the second-round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. Brody Herbst went 3-for-3 with four RBI's and a run. Mason Mehling, Preston Gerena, and Devin Montalvo each had two hits. Longwood ( 17-5) will face host No. 1 Commack at 4 p.m. Friday in the third-round.
