HIGHLIGHTS
Chaminade won its 19th CHSAA championship by winning the Best-of-3 series against Kellenberg 2-0 with the victory. Matt Brandt allowed one run on three hits over 5.2 innings and Mike Sweeney hit a three-run triple in a four-run fourth as the Flyers (14-4) came from behind to win. Andrew Heiderstadt earned a four-out save for Chaminade, but not before the Firebirds (13-5) got the tying run to the plate three times in the seventh inning. Phil Schurr had a run-scoring single in the first inning for Kellenberg.
