HIGHLIGHTS
Chaminade lefthander John Downing scatted four hits over seven innings to propel the second-seeded Flyers (12-4) in the CHSAA Championship Series. Downing recorded seven strikeouts to run his record this season to 6-0. Chaminade took advantage of two errors by SJB (8-7) to score its two runs in the first inning. Flyer Matt Brandt had a run-scoring single and Mike Sweeney made a stellar play by charging on a short bouncer with a runner on in the sixth to throw the batter out. Kyle Chase allowed three hits over six innings and Christian Alicea had an RBI for SJB.
