Farmingdale 6, Oceanside 1: Jacob Taormina went 3-for-3 with a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fifth inning to lead No. 5 Farmingdale (10-10-1) over No. 4 Oceanside in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Justin Rosner earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit, striking out five and walking none. Farmingdale leads Oceanside in the best-of-three game series, and will play Game 2 at Farmingdale High School on Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m.
