Highlights: West Babylon 55, Copiague 34: Quarterback Clifton Melhado scored six total touchdowns, including three rushing scores in the second quarter that brought West Babylon (4-4) from behind and into the lead in Suffolk II. After Melhado tied the score at 14 early in the second quarter on a four-yard run, he gave West Babylon the lead on a 37-yard cutback run off tackle, making a number of defenders miss on his way to the end zone. In the third, Melhado ran for two more scores from seven and 11-yards out, and also hit Nick Gilley for an eight-yard TD pass. Melhado finished with 188 rushing yards with five touchdowns on 21 carries, and completed nine of 16 passes for 120 yards and a score. Gilley had three receptions for 48 yards and also had two interceptions. Chris Lubin rushed for 156 yards on 19 carries, and returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown. Matt Devlin had a a 46-yard interception return for a touchdown, and filled in at kicker in the second half when Gilley, the team's starting kicker, came out with an injury. Down 6-3 with 3:15 left, Kevin Schroeder kicked a 40-yard field goal, his second of the game, to send the game into overtime.
