    Highlights: Lindenhurst 62, Half Hollow Hills East 42: Sean Valera completed all 10 of his pass attempts for 145 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lindenhurst (2-5) in Suffolk I. Valera’s first TD pass put Lindenhurst ahead 14-0 in the first, as he connected with Jon Tait for a 35-yard score. After the teams exchanged touchdowns, Valera made it 28-6 at the end of the first by hitting Joe Morhardt for a 20-yard TD. Peter Mangione had eight carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns, including the game’s first score from 64-yards out. Anthnoy Lanzeri had 10 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns, and later threw for a 56-yard TD to Tait on a wildcat pass play in the third quarter that put Lindenhurst ahead, 48-33. Lindenhurst accumulated 512 yards of total offense. Eric Cullen’s 65-yard interception return with two minutes left in the game sealed the win, as Hills East had come as close as 55-42. For Hills East (3-4), quarterback RJ Nitti threw four TD passes to DJ Paul. Nitti finished with six total TDs, hitting Devin McDonald for his fifth passing TD and rushing for another.

Bedell rushed for 109 yards on six carries for two touchdowns in the first quarter alone, scoring from 44-yards and 34-yards out to give Floyd an early 14-0 lead. He scored three touchdowns in the first half, adding another one-yard score in the second quarter to give Floyd a 21-3 lead at the half. Cornerback Devante Smith had five tackles, one interception and one forced fumble. Linebacker Marc Coles led the team with eight tackles. Lindenhurst’s only points came on a 45-yard field goal by Vin Valela. Floyd will play at No. 2 Longwood in the semifinals, a team it lost to 14-12 on Sept. 17 in week two.
