Highlights: Division 40, North Shore 28: Brian Pedersen scored five touchdowns for Division (1-0) in its Nassau III win Friday night, but made the biggest play of the game on the defensive side of the ball. With Division leading 33-28 with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, Pedersen caused a fumble and recovered it, allowing Division to control the ball and eventually punch in an insurance touchdown to seal the win. Pedersen had three rushing touchdowns and two receiving, including two on the ground in the fourth quarter. Highlights: East Rockaway 27, North Shore 20: East Rockaway (2-1) converted on a 65 yard drive, scoring a touchdown with 1:16 left in the game to complete the comeback victory in Conference IV. East Rockaway got the ball with under three minutes remaining, and was able to drive down the field off of two carries for 56 yards by Sean Bohan that brought the team down to the two-yard line. Cameron Ralph converted for the two-yard go-ahead score. Bohan then clinched the game, intercepting a pass as time expired as North Shore made a last attempt to the win the game. East Rockaway led 13-0 in the first half, but North Shore came back and went ahead 14-13 early in the third quarter. The teams went back and forth and North Shore then led again 20-19 entering the fourth quarter before East Rockaway scored the final touchdown. Tom Dolan led East Rockaway with 10 tackles.
