Highlights: Farmingdale 42, Freeport 7: Quarterback Joe Valente had four total touchdowns to lead Farmingdale (6-1) in Nassau I. Valente opened the game with back-to-back TD runs, from three and 32 yards out, to give Farmingdale an early 14-0 lead. After Matt Dittmeier’s 15-yard TD run made it 21-0 at the end of the first, Valente hit Rich Morris for an 18-yard TD pass on 3rd-and-goal early in the second quarter to make it 28-0. Valente then closed out the first half with a 22-yard TD run to put the game out of reach early. Valente finished with 106 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries, and threw for 86 yards and a score on 3-of-4 passing. Dittmeier teamed up with Rich Lewis and Ryan Feiner to combine for 19 tackles. Morris and Lewis also had interceptions. Freeport falls to 1-6.

Plainview JFK joined Nassau I in 1991. The highest seeded team they previously beat was seven. Freeport is seeded five. Chris Pastier had eight tackles. Freeport scored with 1:07 left and they went for a two-point conversion and the pass failed. Plainview JFK recovered the ensuing onsides kick to seal the win.

Highlights: Baldwin 32, Freeport 18: Pat Dillon's 12-yard touchdown run with 4:43 left in the third quarter broke a 18-18 tie for Baldwin (6-2), which held on to beat previously undefeated Freeport (7-1) in Nassau I. Treyvon Mask had 205 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and Dillon added two touchdowns. Evan Lapiece returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to give Freeport a 6-0 lead, but Mask tied the score on a 19-yard run with 1:03 left in the first. Baldwin recovered its own onside kick, quickly scoring at the start of the second quarter on Dillon's 12-yard run. Freeport tied the score at 12 and 18 in the second quarter, but Baldwin took control in the second half. Dillon's three-yard run with 4:43 to go in the third gave Baldwin the lead for good and Javaun Tomlinson added a 20-yard touchdown run with 8:10 left in the fourth to cushion Baldwin's lead. Baldwin hasn't beaten Freeport since the 2007 season, according to assistant coach Jeoff Hammond.
