    Highlights: St. John the Baptist 8, St. Anthony's 7: Kyle Collins hit a walk off single over a drawn in outfield to score Patrick Lagravinese in the bottom of the seventh to lead No. 2 St. John the Baptist (19-6) over No. 3 St. Anthony's (13-10) in the deciding game three of a CHSAA semifinal series. Brian McLaughlin had scored the tying run for St. John the Baptist on an error after St. Anthony's had taken a 7-6 lead in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Daniel Cleary. St. John the Baptist moves on to the best-of-three finals against No. 1 St. Dominic. Game one is Sunday at 3pm at Farmingdale State.

Floyd's home run followed Kenny Johntry's RBI single with one out that scored Chris Weiss to tie it at 4. Longwood will play in the losers bracket semifinal, Saturday, against the winner of No. 4 Commack/No. 8 Connetquot.

Casey Baker (seven innings, seven hits, six strikeouts) extinguished Commack's biggest threat by striking out the final two batters of the first inning after the Cougars had loaded the bases. Conneqtuot moves on to play Longwood on Saturday at 11am.

Wheatley moves on to the Long Island championship on Monday, June 3.

Portledge (13-1) won a league championship for the first time in its nine-year program history, according to coach Frank Battaglia. Zach Kleinwaks went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Earlier in the inning, Soriente's RBI double scored Ray Flynn to tie the game at 7. Flynn and Mendyk each went 3-for-4 in the win. Anthony Pensato went 2-for-3 with a solo home in the second inning and a double in the sixth inning. After pitching a complete game in Plainedge's Game 1 win on Monday, Justin Trigo pitched an inning and two-thirds of perfect relief, striking out the last two batters of the game to earn the save. Plainedge (19-8) will play the Clarke/Island Trees series winner in the Class A finals on Monday at SUNY-Farmingdale.

Louis Mele hit two home runs for Island Trees, including one that cut the score to 6-5 in the sixth. Clarke will play the winner of No. 9 Seaford/No. 13 Plainedge in the best-of-three championship series, beginning Monday.

Locust Valley tied the score in the seventh on a sacrifice fly hit by Nick Lollo, which scored Pat Carroll. Billy McLean came on in relief for Wheatley with two outs and the bases loaded in the fifth. He got the third out and pitched three more innings, allowing just one hit. McLean (3-for-4) also hit a two-run single that gave Wheatley an 8-7 lead after the top of the seventh. The second game of the series is Wednesday.
