Syosset 1, Massapequa 0: Senior Shane Mandel scored his fourth goal of the post season off a cross from Nico Valentino in the 12th minute to lift No. 5 Syosset (15-2-1) past second-seeded Massapequa (14-2-1) in the Nassau Class AA Final at Adelphi. Senior goalie Josh Haberman made three saves in the shutout. Syosset will face Brentwood in the Long Island Championship on Wednesday at Dowling at 6:30 p.m.

Jericho 1, South Side 0 (OT): Freshman Barry Sharifi scored with 1:33 in overtime of an assist from Derek Medolla to give No. 2 Jericho (17-1-1) the win over No. 8 South Side (12-4-3) in the Nassau Class A Championship. This is the second straight county title for Jericho.

Bellmore JFK will play Eastport-South Manor for the Long Island championship Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Westhampton Middle School.

Highlights: Sachem East 18, Northport 7: Steven Casali rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns as No. 6 Sachem East upset No. 3 Northport in Suffolk I. Casali carried four times for all 65 yards of a scoring drive to open the second half that gave Sachem East an 18-7 advantage. The scoring run was 26 yards. The Flaming Arrows (5-4) will face No. 1 Connetquot next weekend. Host Northport finished 6-3.

Highlights: Ward Melville 3, Lindenhurst 2: Emily Astarita had 38 kills and Kristin Bendy had 11 kills, four aces and three blocks to lead No. 1 Ward Melville (15-0) from behind to beat No. 2 Lindenhurst (15-3) in the Suffolk AA final, 25-16, 23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-23. Ward Melville will play Massapequa in the Long Island championship Tuesday at Roslyn at 6:30.
