Highlights: Connetquot 8, Kings Park 1: Casey Baker pitched a complete game, striking out 11, and allowing four hits and three walks, to lead No. 8 Connetquot over No. 10 Kings Park in a Class AA second round playoff game in the loser's bracket. Baker was 2-for-4 with a home run. Connetquot (13-10) will face Smithtown West or Sachem East on Monday in the quarterfinals.

Highlights: No. 6 Smithtown East 1, No. 14 Hauppauge 0: Devon Caybasi hit a two-out walk-off single to score Josh Castro and give No. 6 Smithtown East (15-7) the win over No. 14 Hauppauge in a Suffolk Class AA loser's bracket game. Caybasi also pitched a complete game four-hitter with three walks and three strikeouts. Smithtown East will play a road game against the loser of No. 4 Commack vs. No. 5 Deer Park on Friday at 4 p.m.

Highlights: Ward Melville 4, Kings Park 1: Andrew Schelberg's pinch-hit, two-out, two-run single in the sixth inning gave (2) Ward Melville a 4-0 lead over (10) Kings Park in the second round of the Class AA playoffs. Joe Flynn's solo home run in the second broke a scoreless tie. Flynn went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Anthony Kay pitched a three-hitter and struck out 11. It is the senior's 20th double digit strikeout game of his career. Ward Melville (16-5) will play the winner of (11) Longwood/(3)Sachem East on Monday at 4pm.

Highlights: Kings Park 5, Half Hollow Hills East 3: Lee Baker's squeeze bunt scored Tyler Manuello in the sixth inning, breaking a 3-3 tie in the first round of the Class AA playoffs. Zach Garick's snagged a line drive and threw to second to complete a game-ending double play with the bases loaded. (10) Kings Park (14-7) will face (2) Ward Melville on Wednesday at 4pm at Ward Melville.

Highlights: Sachem East 9, Hauppauge 7: Joe Deland went 4-for-4, including a big two-run double during a six-run seventh, and threw a runner out at third from leftfield as the Flaming Arrows (16-5) advanced in a first-round Suffolk playoff game at Sachem East. Cory Wood had three hits for Hauppauge (12-9), which rallied from a 7-0 deficit with four runs in the fourth and three in the sixth. Joe Pavlik got the last five outs to save the game for starter Nick Liegi.

John Downs went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
