Island Trees advances to the semifinals for the seventh straight year according to coach Joe D'Auria. The best-of-three semifinals will begin on Monday at the higher seed at 4:30 p.m.

Island Trees trailed 4-0 after the first inning, but clawed back in the fourth, capped by Mele's RBI double to draw the Bulldogs to within 4-3. Aaron Rosenthal allowed no earned runs, with six hits, three walks, and nine strikeouts over eight innings.

Chris Stein pitched eight innings of no-hit ball with three walks and 10 strikeouts in the no-decision. Jonathan Chao pitched the final five innings with an unearned run on two hits and three strikeouts to earn the win. With the win, Bethpage earned a bye into the quarterfinals.
