Highlights: No. 2 MacArthur 9, No. 10 Hicksville 5: Jena Cozza went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the fifth and three RBIs and Ashley Massoni went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs to lead No. 2 MacArthur (12-8) over No. 10 Hicksville in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class AA Playoffs. Kristen Arbiter went 3-for-4 with two runs. MacArthur will face No. 3 Mepham in the semifinals on Tuesday at MacArthur at 4:30 p.m.

Highlights: East Meadow 8, Syosset 0: Kerri Shapiro went 3-for-3, with a solo homer, two doubles, three RBIs and two runs for No. 1 East Meadow (12-7) in a Nassau Class AA quarterfinal win over No. 9 Syosset (15-6). Shapiro pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out 18 and walking three. Marisa SanAntonio went 1-for-1, with a single, two walks and three runs. Liz Jacobsohn went 1-for-2, with a bunt single in the top of the sixth, and added a walk for the Braves.

Highlights: Oceanside 2, Calhoun 1: Ellen Derr helped her own cause with a one-out walk-off single with the bases loaded to lift No. 6 Oceanside (8-11) over No. 11 Calhoun (7-9) in the first round of the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Derr allowed one run off two hits in seven innings pitched, and plated Kristen Gallub with her winning hit in the seventh. Oceanside will play at No. 3 Mepham, Saturday at 10 a.m in a second round game.

Highlights: Syosset 10, Bellmore JFK 4: Liz Jacobsohn went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBIs and a solo home run for No. 9 Syosset (13-2) over No. 8 Bellmore in the first round of the Class AA playoffs. Ashley Freedman went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, while Rachel Siskind's two-run single sparked a four-run third inning rally. Syosset plays No. 1 East Meadow, Saturday at 2 p.m.

Highlights: Hicksville 5, Long Beach 4: No. 10 Hicksville (13-5) came from behind to beat No. 7 Long Beach (5-13) in the first round of the Nassau Class AA playoffs when Alex Gaudelli stole home on a passed ball in the top of the seventh. Gaudelli went 3-4 on the day with a triple and two runs scored. Hicksville trailed 4-1 in the third, but Danielle Anzalone then retired 11 batters in a row, including a three-pitch fifth inning, as the Comets chipped away and eventually took the lead. Hicksville will play at No. 2 MacArthur, Saturday at 10 a.m. in a second round game.

Highlights: Syosset 2, Calhoun 1: Sam Molloy singled home Liz Jacobsohn to tied the game at one and Sam Molloy got Ashley Sreebman home with a safety-squeeze to take the lead in the sixth inning as Syosset (12-2) picked up a Conference A-I win.

Highlights: Bellmore JFK 7, Farmingdale 6: Cora Tavaglione's two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning put Bellmore JFK (12-2) on top 7-4 en route to a one-run win in Conference II. Missy Mavrogian went 2-for-3, with a homer and three RBIs.
