Catcher Kristin Daly threw out a runner at third in the sixth and a runner at second in the seventh inning as the Generals held on to win. Ashley Massoni allowed six hits and struck out three in a complete game for the win. MacArthur will face East Meadow at 4 p.m. Monday in Game 1 of the finals at Mitchel Athletic Complex.

Galgano also hit a sacrifice fly to score Grodski in the top of the fourth to tie it at one. Tonimarie Valeriano pitched a four-hitter, without allowing any earned runs, while striking out 10 and walking none. The Generals' Jena Cozza stole home for the game's first run in the bottom of the third.

    Highlights: Hicksville 5, Long Beach 4: No. 10 Hicksville (13-5) came from behind to beat No. 7 Long Beach (5-13) in the first round of the Nassau Class AA playoffs when Alex Gaudelli stole home on a passed ball in the top of the seventh. Gaudelli went 3-4 on the day with a triple and two runs scored. Hicksville trailed 4-1 in the third, but Danielle Anzalone then retired 11 batters in a row, including a three-pitch fifth inning, as the Comets chipped away and eventually took the lead. Hicksville will play at No. 2 MacArthur, Saturday at 10 a.m. in a second round game.
