Highlights: Commack 2, Smithtown East 0: Kiersten Carlomagno pitched a complete game, one-hit shutout, while striking out 14 and walking two to lead No. 2 Commack (18-2) over No. 15 Smithtown East (11-10) in its Suffolk Class AA first round win. Carlomagno went 1-for-3, with an RBI single, scoring Julie McDonald, who doubled earlier in the bottom of the first inning, to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead. Kristen Andrews singled leading off the bottom of the sixth, before stealing second, and scoring on Erin Morrissey's RBI single for the game's final margin. Commack will host No. 10 Sachem East (15-6) in the second round at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Highlights: Longwood 4, East Islip 1: Alex Russo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run to lead No. 3 Longwood (17-3) over No. 14 East Islip in the first of the Suffolk Class AA Playoffs. Longwood will face the winner of No. 6 Connetquot vs. No. 11 Deer Park in the second round on Wednesday at Longwood at 4 p.m.

Highlights: Sachem East 4, West Islip 3: Cassie Asselta's RBI single that plated Amanda Fitzgerald in the top of the seventh inning turned out to be the winning run in Sachem East's (15-6) Suffolk Class AA first round win over No. 7 West Islip (14-6). Marissa Wilson's two-run homer in the top of the first put the Flaming Arrows up 2-0. Wilson went 3-for-4. Katie Tibbetts went 2-for-4, including a solo homer in the sixth that made it 3-1 in favor of Sachem East. Marissa Smith pitched a seven-hitter, allowing an earned run, while striking out 11 and walking two. The Flaming Arrows head to No. 2 Commack (18-2) in the second round at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
