Highlights: Northport 43, Baldwin 40: Luke Petrasek had 14 points and Michael Milligan added 13 points for Northport in the Long Island Class AA final at Hofstra. Travais Hylton and Eric Mack had eight points each for Baldwin. Northport advances to the NYSPHSAA Class AA semifinal in Glens Falls on Friday.

Highlights: Amityville 53, Northport 41: Mike Smith had 18 points to lead Amityville in the Suffolk Overall Championship at Ward Melville.

Highlights: Northport 65, Deer Park 57: Luke Petrasek had 30 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks and Matt Smith had 18 points, 10 assists and four steals to lead No. 1 Northport (21-1) over No. 3 Deer Park in the Suffolk Class AA boys final. It is the first county championship since 1995. Northport will face Amityville in the Suffolk County overall championship game on Friday at 7:30 pm at Ward Melville.

Highlights: Northport 51, Longwood 47; Austin Marchese's only two points of the night were two free throws with five seconds left to lift no. 1 Northport (20-1) over no. 12 Longwood in the Suffolk semifinals. Matt Smith led the Tigers with 28 points, six assists and five rebounds.

Highlights: Northport 63, Floyd 45: Luke Petrasek had 20 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks for No. 1 Northport over eight-seeded Floyd in the Class AA quarterfinals. Matt Smith added 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and six steals. Northport takes on No. 12 Longwood, 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Highlights: Floyd 53, Bay Shore 52; A free throw with 2.1 seconds left from Devonte gave no. 8 Floyd (14-5) a one point win over no. 9 Bay Shore. Devin Burney led all scorers with 25 points in this Suffolk play-off match.

Highlights: Brentwood 46, Whitman 41: Marcus Cureton's runner from the baseline with 1:30 remaining gave Brentwood a 40-36 lead in the first round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Femi Olujobi scored 15 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the win. (2) Brentwood (17-2) will host (7) Half Hollow Hills West on Tuesday at 5pm. Whitman finishes 10-8.

Highlights: Huntington 56, Central Islip 50: Patrick Reilly had 20 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter to lead No. 20 Huntington (10-10) over No. 4 Central Islip in a Suffolk Class AA Boys basketball first round game. Devon Nelson added nine points and 11 rebounds and Kiernan McGovern had 12 points for Huntington, who moves on to face No. 12 Longwood in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 19.

Highlights: Northport 62, Commack 41: Luke Petrasek had 17 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks, Matt Smith had four points and 11 rebounds, Michael Milligan had 20 points and six rebounds and Andrew Seaman added 10 points off the bench to lead No. 1 Northport (18-1) over No. 17 in a Suffolk Class AA boys basketball first round game. Northport moves on to host No. 8 Floyd on Tuesday at 6pm.

Highlights: Whitman 47, North Babylon 44: Leading by two with 1:01 left, Kevin Forland hit both sides of and one and one to lead No. 18 Whitman (9-7) over No. 15 Babylon in the Conference AA outbracket game. Forland had 10 points and Bedel Saget added 13. Whitman moves on to play No. 2 Brentwood, Friday night. The win was coach Tom Fitzpatrick's 200th. Fitzpatrick has coached for 14 years. "It means I've been around a long time," Fitzpatrick said with a chuckle. "I've had a lot of great players and a great staff with (my assistants) Rich Mills, Curt Russell, and Ray Eatman."
