Rivera opened the scoring with a goal 12 minutes into the game and went on to score three goals in each half. Rivera has a Long Island-high 26 goals on the season, which is also a school record according to Henry. Victoria Marano added three goals.

"Kiara Checo hurt her ankle and I was struggling to help her off the field, but [Uniondale's] Tasia Daley helped carry her to the bench," Freeport coach Tracie Roberts said. "For her to help an injured opposing player like that, it was a great show of sportsmanship."
