Scocca went 1-for-2, with three RBIs and a run. Reliever Danny Rodriguez pitched 2/3 innings to earn the save.

Brian Trabulsi hit a solo homer in the fourth and Rob Vani added a solo homer in the fifth. Joe Romero tossed a three-hit shutout, with seven strikeouts, while walking four. Chaminade plays No. 1 St. Dominic in Game 1 of a best-of-three semifinal series at 7 p.m. on May 20 at SUNY Farmingdale.

Ryan, who featured a fastball and slider, struck out 13 and walked three. Troy Scocca's RBI groundout gave the Bayhawks a 1-0 lead in the first inning. St. Dominic clinched its third regular-season title in six years.

Chris Agresti hit an RBI single in the top of the 16th inning to give Chaminade a 2-1 lead. Chaminade's Joe Romero tossed seven hitless innings with 12 strikeouts. The Friars' John Parise allowed one run and four hits with four strikeouts in six innings and Steve Ridings threw five scoreless frames in relief.
