    Highlights: MacArthur 1, Syosset 0: Rob Andreoli singled, stole second and eventually came around to score the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning for No. 1 MacArthur (19-3) in its 1-0 win over No. 7 Syosset (15-9). Adam Heidenfelder tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits, while striking out nine and walking one. Carmine Criscione pitched two scoreless innings, allowing two hits, while striking out one and walking none for the win. Zach Greenspan pitched a six-hitter through 10 innings, striking out 10 and walking two for the Braves. The Generals will play at Syosset in Game 2 of the Nassau Class AA semis at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Kevin Kehne's two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning was the game's final margin. Joe Morris went 2-for-3, with an RBI and a run. Corey Stein was 2-for-3. The Braves play the Comets in Game 3 of the quarterfinals at 4 p.m. on May 17 at Hicksville.

Carola tossed three scoreless innings and allowed two hits and struck out two to earn the win. No. 7 Syosset (10-8) was led by reliever Zach Greenspan, who tossed 7 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and an unearned run, while striking out six.
