East Islip 90, West Babylon 60: Kate Newhoff broke a school-record in the 1500-walk (6:55) to lead East Islip (2-0) in League IV. Newhoff broke her own record in the event (7:02) that she set last week, according to East Islip coach Jim Marino. Anya Schmitt won the 1500 meter dash (5:11) and Faith Penny won the triple jump, high jump, and long jump for East Islip.
