The loss ends Wantagh's 44 match dual meet winning streak, the longest current streak in New York State. East Islip trailed 31-25, but won the last four bouts to defeat the two-time defending New York State champions. In a featured match of all-county wrestlers, Dennis Ferro defeated Nick Vines by major decision at 160 pounds, 12-4. Wantagh`s last defeat came against Massapequa, 31-21, on January 29, 2011 in the finals of the Nassau dual meet final.
