HIGHLIGHTS
Malik Pierre caught a screen pass for a 45-yard touchdown, tossed a 26-yard TD to quarterback Mike Licata and scored on a 39-yard run to give Sachem North the victory in the Suffolk I championship at Stony Brook’s LaValle Stadium. Pierre also made two interceptions as the Flaming Arrows (9-2) won their first county title since 1995 and first since the district split in 2004. They will face Farmingdale (11-0) on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Stony Brook. Floyd, the four-time defending county champion and winner of the last two Long Island Class I titles, finished 8-3.
