HIGHLIGHTS
Shelter Island 3, Pierson 0: Shelter Island won the Class D Championship. It is the program's tenth consecutive title, coach Cindy Belt said. Erin Colligan had eight kills in the win. Kenna McCarthy added 14 assists and 22 service points. Margaret Michalak had four aces. Kelly Colligan played "outstanding defense," Belt said. Shelter Island (13-1) will face S.S Seward Institute in the Southeast regional semifinal at 4pm Wednesday at O'Neill High School in Fort Montgomery.
