HIGHLIGHTS
Port Washington 4, Manhasset 3: Emma Rosenberg and Syd Levy defeated Caitlyn Gleason and Liz Arenare, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2, in second doubles to clinch the Nassau Championship for Port Washington. Port Washington (11-4) advanced to the Long Island Championship (opponent, time and date yet to be determined) for the first time since 2008. "I was expecting a successful season, but I also expected this match to be close because Manhasset and us were predicted to finish atop the county," said coach Stan Makover, who is in his 38th season. "Today we just played better, particularly in doubles." Port Washington won in first, second and fourth doubles. Sarah Seeman improved to 15-1 in third singles. "She's just a terrific player and she's only a junior so I'm really glad she'll be back," Makover said. Mahasset finished 13-2 in Conference I.
