Sachem North led 45-40 with 58 seconds left, but Kristen McKenzie stole an inbounds pass and hit a layup to cut the lead to 45-42. Julia Gnieser then stole the ensuing inbounds pass for Hills East, was fouled, and made two free throws. Freshman Eve Calabria and eighth-grader Annie Keenan each made a pair of free throws during the final 28 seconds to preserve the win for Sachem North.
