HIGHLIGHTS

Mt. Sinai 24, Bayport-Blue Point 21: Kicker Joe Casper kicked the winning 30-yard field goal with 51 seconds remaining on the clock to lead Mt. Sinai (6-2) over Bayport-Blue Point (5-3) in Suffolk IV. The five minute drive that led to the winning field goal consisted of nine plays, one of which came from running back Zach Wolfe, who ran for 25 yards, putting Mt. Sinai in kicking position. Wolfe finished with 145 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. "Zach took the team on his back and the win was defined by his efforts," coach Vin Ammirato said. As a cornerback, Wolfe caught an interception for the last play of the game. Running back Mike Cortese rushed for 151 yards on 17 carries. Quarterback Coles Williams completed five of eight passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 57 yards on eight carries. Defensive end Nick Kelly led the defense with nine tackles and two sacks. This was Coach Ammirato's 100th win of his career. His overall record is now 100-49-1 in his sixteenth year as a head coach.
