Sewanhaka 35, Valley Stream South 8: Quarterback Jake Mellen threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns to lead Sewanhaka (4-4) over Valley Stream South (2-6) in Suffolk III. Mellen threw a short seven yard pass to Elijah Smith, who rushed for another 73 yards and a touchdown with 2:20 remaining in the half, giving Sewanhaka a 21-0 lead. The play was sprung open by wide receiver Jacques Francois who had a huge block in the open field. Mahlik Elliott and Elijah Tracey each had one rushing touchdown. Linebacker Tyler Regnier led the defense with 11 tackles.
