HIGHLIGHTS
Garden City 10, MacArthur 7 (OT): Gerard Smith converted a 31-yard field goal on 4th-and-4 in overtime to lift Garden City (2-0) over MacArthur (0-2) in Nassau II. Matt Borges and Tom Wright blocked MacArthur's 22-yard field goal attempt on 4th-and-goal to set up the winning drive. On the previous play, Ryan Blair made a tackle for a four-yard loss on 3rd-and-goal at the 1-yard line. Brett Stewart ran around left end and into the endzone for a 3-yard touchdown run to cap an 8-play, 78-yard drive and Smith made the ensuing extra point as Garden City tied the score at 7 with 58 seconds left in regulation. Jimmy Kelleher connected with Jared Wolfe in the corner of the end zone to cap a 9-play 62-yard drive that gave MacArthur a 7-0 lead with 4:46 remaining in the third quarter. Carmine Criscione ran for 80 yards on 21 carries for MacArthur.
