Bethpage 28, Glen Cove 6: Junior running back Michael Sforza rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries to lead Bethpage (6-1) over Glen Cove (4-3) in Nassau III. Halfway through the third quarter, Sforza ran off a tackle and sped up down the right side of the field for a 35-yard touchdown run, giving Bethpage a 21-0 lead. "He ran hard on offense and played outstanding on defense." coach Erwin Dill said. As a linebacker, Sforza led the defense with nine tackles. Running back Anthony Herman rushed for 24 yards and one touchdown on five carries. Safety Jake Einbinder had seven tackles.
