Carey 41, Mepham 3: Quarterback Ray Catapano completed 17 of 28 passes for 225 yards and five touchdowns to lead Carey (7-0) over Mepham (3-4) in Nassau II. Ray Catapano scored five touchdowns for the second time this season, tying his own record at Carey High School. Directly after a blocked punt by defensive end Jesse Opitz, Catapano passed a post-route pass up the right side to Matt Robison, giving Carey a 7-0 lead. After a field goal by Mepham, Carey went on a 71-yard 15 play drive that resulted in a 4 yard touchdown pass from Catapano to Ris with 1:49 remaining in the first, giving Carey a 14-3 lead. Linebacker Joe Lucito led the defense with eight tackles. Safety Nick Conte recorded seven tackles.
