Glen Cove 14, Hewlett 7: Billy Neice's six-yard TD run in overtime gave Glen Cove the 14-7 lead, and Mike Burrell's pass deflection on fourth-and-10 on Hewlett's overtime possession sealed the win in Nassau III. Glen Cove got the ball first in overtime, and advanced inside the Hewlett 10-yard line on Dialo Brown's 10-yard reception that set up Neice's score. Hewlett did not gain any yards on its ensuing overtime possession. After Hewlett led 7-0 at halftime, Burrell's 18-yard TD reception from David Perkins on fourth-and goal tied the game in the third quarter. Burrell caught a quick out pattern and ran toward the end zone, diving over the goal line for the score. The game began Thursday and was suspended with 3:45 left in the first quarter due to lightening.
