Eastport-South Manor vs Miller Place

Miller Place 10, Eastport-South Manor 9 (F/11): Tori Carlo hit a walk-off RBI-single in the bottom of the 11th to score Dominique Soto from third and give No. 1 Miller Place (19-2) the win over No. 2 Eastport-South Manor in the winner's bracket final in the Suffolk Class A Playoffs. Soto started on second because of the international tiebreaker rule and then was bunted over to third by Allie Krumholz. ESM scored three runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game at eight. ESM then took a one-run lead in the top of the 10th on an RBI-single Sam Vosper that scored Marissa Rizzi. In the bottom of the 10th, Sage Biamonte laid down a bunt-single with the bases loaded to score Taylor Ludewig. Carlo finished 5-for-7 with two doubles, a run and an RBI. Ludewig went 3-for-6 with three runs. Beth Whitlow went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Miller Place will face the winner of Eastport-South Manor vs. No. 4 Sayville in the county final on Friday at Miller Place at 4 p.m.
