Smithtown West 7, Sachem East 3: Peter Torres' two-run single tied it at 3 in the sixth and Mike Bugliarelli's RBI single gave the Smithtown West a 4-3 lead in the seventh as the 12th-seeded Bulls (14-9) beat No. 3 Sachem East in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA loser's bracket. Joe Goldberg pitched four scoreless, no-hit innings of relief to earn the win. Nick Attardi's RBI hit capped a four-run seventh. The Bulls visit Connetquot at 4 p.m. Monday.
