Shapiro went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple. Danielle Cutuli's triple drove in Taylor Conti and Marisa SanAntonio in the sixth inning, breaking a scoreless tie. (1) East Meadow (13-7) takes a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series. Game two is scheduled for Wednesday at Massapequa at 4:30pm.
