Mepham vs MacArthur

Mepham 2, MacArthur 1: Mary Galgano's sacrifice fly plated Katie Grodski to give Mepham (14-4) a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth inning en route to a Nassau Class AA semifinals victory over No. 2 MacArthur (12-9). Galgano also hit a sacrifice fly to score Grodski in the top of the fourth to tie it at one. Tonimarie Valeriano pitched a four-hitter, without allowing any earned runs, while striking out 10 and walking none. The Generals' Jena Cozza stole home for the game's first run in the bottom of the third.
