Malverne vs Wheatley

Wheatley 9, Malverne 0: Matt Rothstein had a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts and two walks and went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Rothstein struck out eight of the nine batters he faced in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Right fielder Mike Dougherty caught a sinking line drive in the second inning and Rothstein helped himself by ranging to his right to get a runner out to save the no-hitter in the sixth. Lambert Chu also went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Wheatley (10-6) in Conference BC-I.
