Lynbrook 6, Lawrence 0: Junior Paul Papandrew pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead Lynbrook (4-6) in Conference A-IV. Papandrew walked five batters but threw just 97 pitches, including three walks and 28 pitches in the first inning where he got out of a bases loaded jam. With no outs in the bottom of the seventh, Austin Bilello preserved the no-hitter with a diving catch in right-center field. "Austin came up big for his pitcher," said Lynbrook coach Al Marrazzo. "I'm happy for Paul and the team. He had no idea at the end of the game but everyone jumped on him and dumped water on him, but he's like that. When he's in the zone he's in the zone."
