Lindenhurst 5, Sachem North 4: Centerfielder Lexi Leimeister caught a long fly ball with a runner on second and two outs to seal the win for Lindenhurst (4-9) in Suffolk II. Caitlin Gosline's two-run double in the bottom of the sixth gave Lindenhurst a 5-2 lead. She was 2-for-3 with two 2 doubles and two RBIs. Junior pitcher Sammy Gilbert won her first varsity game. Alyssa Schwalb was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Leimeister was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
