Hauppauge 3, Sachem East 2: Lyndsay Smocer went 3-for-3 with all three RBIs to lead No. 7 Hauppauge (19-6) over No. 12 Sachem East in the finals of the loser's bracket. Lauren Buturla pitched a complete game with two earned runs. In the sixth, Buturla faced bases loaded no outs, and pitched back-to-back ground balls to third baseman Taylor Hux. Her third out came from a flyball to left field to save the inning. Christina Constantine went 2-for-3. Sachem East took a 2-1 lead in the fourth when Kayla Caltabellotta hit a two-run double to drive in Katie Tibbetes and Emily Corchia. Hauppauge will play at No. 3 Half Hollow Hills West in the final game on Thursday at 4PM. "It was an exciting win and well deserved," said coach Jim McGowan. "The kids played hard and we are excited for the opportunity to play on Thursday."
