Clarke 6, Island Trees 5: Sabrina Caputo scored on a wild pitch in the top of the ninth inning to give third-seeded Clarke a 6-5 lead in game one of their best-of-three Class A semifinal series with (2) Island Trees. Sarah Cornell's RBI single in the seventh scored Caputo to tie the game at five. Charissa Perfect went 2-for-4. Cornell pitched a complete game, allowed one earned run on five hits, struck out five, and walked five for Clarke (14-5). Game two is 4pm Wednesday at Clarke.
